In Mexico during the 1840s, Don Diego Vega (George Hamilton) takes on his deceded father's old mission of protecting the poor "pipples" of old California in this satire on the original "Zorro." When Don Diego sprains his ankle and cannot carry out his plans, his long-lost twin brother, Lt. Bunny Wigglesworth, who happens to be gay (also played by Hamilton), appears on the scene, and Don Diego hands him the mask and sword, and he takes on the role of Zorro.
