When a fisherman decides to use dynamite to make a fast fish kill, it awakens a mutated monster (or, rather, a man in a cheap rubber suit). The monster goes on a killing spree in the lake while a biologist (Gloria DeHaven) studies it, and the sheriff (Aldo Ray) tries to kill it by every means possible.
