Gwen Mayfield (Joan Fontaine) can't seem to get away from voodoo. While teaching in Africa, she had a nervous breakdown after an encounter with a witch doctor. She takes a teaching job in a small town in England while recovering. But–the town seems to be the home of a coven of witches, and they intend to sacrifice a girl. Perhaps Gwen's "training" can help.
