Pinocchio (Roberto Benigni) is a puppet made by woodcarver Geppetto (Carlo Giuffre). At first, Pinocchio disrespects his elders, skips school, and tells lies. He goes from one wild adventure to another despite guidance from the Blue Fairy; however, by story's end, Pinocchio has learned valuable lessons and proves that he can and will be a good boy.
