  When he leaves his own eighth dimension to battle aliens on Planet 10, brilliant inter-galactic warrior Buckaroo Banzai (Peter Weller) must use his vast knowledge of the universe to defeat the Red Lectroid bad guys. The Red Lectroids are now controlling Buckaroo's enemy, Dr. Emilio Lizardo (John Lithgow), and are using him in their efforts to control the world. Buckaroo gets help from his band, the Hong Kong Cavaliers, and Penny Priddy (Ellen Barkin) and is determined to stop the Red Lectroids before they complete their mission.

  Loosely based on murders in Rochester, New York, during the late 1980s, this story centers on a police officer, Megan Paige (Eliza Dushku), who develops schizophrenia while investigating the case. She is placed in a psychiatric hospital but is released later and is back at the police station when another murder is committed. Megan sees a connection between the murders because the victims' first and last names start with the same letters. Now, the question is whether or not Megan can hang onto her sanity long enough to solve the crimes.

In order to protect her reputation, Terry tells the police that he was the witness. When Denise's body is found nearby, Terry becomes the suspect because his story has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. A good little thriller.

  During the early 19th century, African slave Nightjohn (Carl Lumbly) has achieved liberty in the North but returns to a life of slavery on cruel Clel Waller's (Beau Bridges) Southern plantation. Nightjohn's mission is to teach slaves reading skills, and he teaches young slave girl Sarny (Allison Jones) how to read. Although this worries the other slaves, and problems result, Sarny uses her new knowledge to help her slave community and learns that knowledge is power.

  This made-for-TV Disney presentation is a remake of the excellent 1972 film based on William H. Armstrong's novel. When his father is jailed for stealing food to feed his family, "Boy" sets off with his dog Sounder to find his father, meeting challenges and successes along the way. Director Kevin Hooks played "Boy" in the original film.
