Holly Gooding (Drew Barrymore) stabs her mother to death. Or was it Holly's double who did the dirty deed? She then re-locates from NYC to L.A. and starts an affair with a screenwriter (George Newbern), from whom she has rented a room. But her apparent double, or doppelganger, is also there, as is an FBI agent who is on her trail. Weird, with an unsatisfying ending.
