Director: Emir Kusturica Cast: Johnny Depp, Jerry Lewis, Faye Dunaway, Lili Taylor, Vincent Gallo, Michael J. Pollard, Candyce Mason, Paulina Porizkova, Alexia Rane, Polly Noonan, Ann Schulman, James R. Wilson, Patricia O'Grady
There are strange things happening in this offbeat, but interesting, film by a director noted for uniqueness. Axel (Johnny Depp) is called home to Arizona from his fish-counting job by his father Leo (Jerry Lewis) whom he hadn't cared much for. Leo is preparing to marry young Blanche (Candyce Mason) and wants to groom his son to take over the Cadillac dealership. Meanwhile, Axel falls hard for widow Elaine (Faye Dunaway). Some good acting, and much weird stuff goes on.
