  Best friends Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway) have dreamed of the "ideal" wedding since they visited New York City's Plaza Hotel as children. Now, at 26, both become engaged to be married and visit wedding planner Marion St. Claire (Candice Bergen). Plans are made, and then a glitch is discovered: the Plaza Hotel has only one day in June available for wedding festivities. Neither Emma nor Liv will give up plans for their "perfect" wedding at the Plaza Hotel, and they will not consider dual weddings. Now, the fight is on as each tries to destroy the other's wedding plans.

  Nobel prize-winner Eli Michaelson (Alan Rickman) and his wife Sarah (Mary Steenburgen) are in Stockholm for his prize ceremony when they learn that their son Barkley (Bryan Greenberg) has been kidnapped–just before he was to receive his PhD. The kidnapper, Thaddeus James (Shawn Hatosy), demands $2 million, and Detective Max Mariner (Bill Pullman) along with neighbor George Gastner (Danny DeVito) come to their aid, but many twists and turns lie ahead.

  Kyle (Chris Evans) is a perfectionist who is shocked when he finds that his SAT scores are not good enough to get him into the college of his choice. Kyle and his friend Matty (Bryan Greenberg) get together with other seniors–Francesca (Scarlett Johansson), overachiever Anna (Erika Christensen), star basketball player Desmond (Darius Miles) and stoner Ray (Leonardo Nam). They plot to steal the SAT from the Princeton Educational Testing Center in order to assure themselves great scores on the upcoming test.
