In this Prohibition Era drama/musical, Speakeasy piano player Percival (Andre Benjamin) falls in love with club singer Angel (Paula Patton) and is confronted with prior obligations to his father (Ben Vereen). Meanwhile, Percival's life-long friend and club manager Rooster (Big Boi) must deal with his moonshine supplier, gangster Trumpy (Terrence Howard), who wants to take over the club.
