Director: Steven Zaillian Cast: John Travolta, Robert Duvall, Tony Shalhoub, William H. Macy, Zeljko Ivanek, James Gandolfini, Bruce Norris, John Lithgow, Kathleen Quinlan, Sydney Pollack
This story details Jan Schlichtmann's (Travolta) legal case against two corporations that leaked toxins into Boston's water supply. The fact that the focus is on the lawyer's efforts to win the case while downplaying the victims and their families seems out of kilter. Robert Duvall received a Supporting Actor Oscar nomination.
