Finally, there is the reclusive Billy (Richard Gere) who finds sanctuary in a tiny Missouri town that is on the verge of being turned into a superhighway. Together, the characters represent roles that Dylan played during his lifetime, and the result is an enjoyable film. Blanchett received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
