Add to this Peter's former best friend, Harry Osborn (James Franco), who has been training for revenge against Spider-Man because he blames Spider-Man for his father's death. And, as if this was not enough, freelance photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) is plotting to take Peter's job at the Daily Bugle. But, Eddie/the New Goblin is transformed into Venom after coming in contact with an alien goo that also permeates the Spider-Man costume and brings out the dark side of Peter. And finally, Peter's romance with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) continues down its tumultuous road. The auditor shows up to provide input on whether or not research on tornado early warning systems should continue. So, our dedicated hero must make the contraption work while avoiding the tornadoes. Oh, the auditor is female and available.

They must find clues to show that such a thing can happen, and find just about more than bargained for when they are sent back in time to get the evidence. Things get weird, don't they.
