Through flashbacks, this story shows high-fashion designer Coco Chanel persevering to succeed in life. The story begins in 1950s' Paris where 70-year-old Coco (Shirley MacLaine) is preparing to release a new collection. Through flashbacks, the story shows young Coco (Barbora Bobulova) experiencing a humble youth working long hours as a seamstress. Then, Coco moves in with wealthy Etienne (Sagamore Stevenin) and becomes a kept woman. That relationship does not last long, and Coco leaves Etienne and opens her own shop. She later falls in love with Boy Capel (Olivier Sitruk), and happiness is hers–for awhile. But, through it all, Coco finds huge success as a fashion icon.
