Aliens from the planet Nil embark on a mission to drain Earth's oceans in order to use the salt for an alternative fuel source. "Dave" meets and befriends Josh's widowed mother Gina (Elizabeth Banks), and then problems develop when it is learned that "Dave's" energy supply is damaged, and the mission must be performed during the next 48 hours while the ship still has enough energy to take off.

Rasputia has taunted Norbit since they were children and now continues her efforts as a hen-pecking wife. Then, one day, Norbit is reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Kate (Thandie Newton), who arrives to run the orphanage. Kate is engaged to slick Deion (Cuba Gooding Jr.), and Rasputia is more than prepared to keep Kate and Norbit apart. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Makeup.
