This film is the adaptation of Truman Capote's account of the true story about two Kansas killers Perry Smith and Richard "Dick" Hickock (Robert Blake and Scott Wilson). The script traces the events from the planning through the execution of the murder, and on to the final hanging of the killers. John Forsythe plays detective Alvin Dewey who breaks the case. A great film.
