I STARTED LOOKING FOR THIS MOVIE A FEW MONTHS AGO. I FOUND SOMEONE THAT HAD BOTH OF THEM BUT, TO MY SUPRISE IT WAS ONLY $35 FOR POLLY ; AND POLLY: COMING HOME. BUT, WHEN I RECIEVED IT IT WAS MY LOST TO FIND OUT IT WAS ONLY A 'BOOT-LEG' COPY OF A CLASSIC.. . . ..... IF WE COULD GET TOGETHER AND EMAIL DISNEY REQUESTING IT. Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry) is a shy boy whose mother and stepfather (Karen Allen and Denis Leary) move with him into a new neighborhood. He makes friends with Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez (Mike Vitar) who teaches him how to play baseball, and Scotty joins Benny's sandlot team that desperately needs its ninth member. Scotty helps himself to his stepfather's "Babe Ruth" autographed baseball and hits it for a home run. The problem is that the ball lands in Mr. Mertle's (James Earl Jones) junkyard, which is guarded by Mertle's snarling dog "The Beast." Now, the fun begins as Scotty and Benny devise ways to get the ball out of the junkyard by building ball-retrieving machines.
