  Mary Magdalene Horowitz (Sandra Bullock) lives in Sacramento and makes a living as a crossword puzzle writer. She goes on a blind date with TV cameraman Steve (Bradley Cooper) during which he brushes her off. Unlike Steve, Mary believes that she and Steve are meant to be together and sets off on a cross-country trek stalking Steve who is covering a series of big stories. Steve's mean-spirited TV reporter, Hartman (Thomas Haden Church), leads Mary on as the means to anger Steve, and Mary becomes more and more the object of ridicule.    1 User Review

Meanwhile, Connor has his eye on both Mary (Drew Barrymore) and Anna (Scarlett Johansson). But, Anna is interested in Janine's (Jennifer Connelly) husband Ben (Bradley Cooper). Janine tries to help Beth (Jennifer Aniston) work out her problems with Ben (Bradley Cooper) who, despite their long relationship, refuses to commit to marriage. And on it goes with a myriad of relationships that are either back together or falling apart.

Their son Matt (Josh Gad) and guitarist Curtis (Teddy Geiger) have formed a band, A.D.D., and when they lose their drummer, Fish fills in. This is the beginning of his new adventure that will result in a real future in the recording industry.
