In this animated feature film, set in 1957, a giant mechanical man (voice of Vin Diesel) drops from the sky and lands near a small town in Maine where he is befriended by young Hogarth Hughes (voice of Eli Marienthal). Although Hogarth's neighbors and the U.S. government worry that the robot is a Soviet weapon, by story's end, the message against weapons and war are very clear. The moral is that humans CAN make choices.

In this Pixar film, Remy the rat (voice of Patton Oswalt) wants nothing more than to become a gourmet chef. To achieve that goal, he teams up with a human, Linguini (Lou Romano), who works as a garbage boy at Paris' once-five-star restaurant, Gusteau's. Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett) had written a book, "Anyone Can Cook," that Remy cherishes. Gusteau is no longer living, but that doesn't stop Remy from being able to communicate with him and gaining great culinary ideas. Remy hides under Linguini's chef's hat and gives him directions for concocting delicious recipes. Now, Gusteau's is becoming a very popular restaurant once again–despite Skinner (Ian Holm) the greedy manager of Gusteau's who has his own faulty ideas of how to run a restaurant The film received an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and received four other Academy Award nominations.
