New Yorker Ruby Weaver (Marisa Tomei) searches for love but typically ends up with men who have problems; therefore, it seems natural that when she meets Sam (Vincent D'Onofrio) he tells her that he has time-traveled back from the future–2470, to be exact. The story begins with a series of flashbacks as Ruby talks to her therapist Meg Ford (Holland Taylor) and tells her that Sam traveled back in time to escape prosecution for his sister's death and because he found a picture of Ruby at home and wanted to find her. Is Sam telling the truth, and will Meg be able to sort things out? Witty and entertaining.
