But, Roy soon realizes that Rico is innocent and lets him go. The real villain is Harry Blaisdell (Charles McGraw) who Roy chases down and brings to justice. The reward money saves the carnival, and the show moves on to the next town.

  Rodeo star Roy Rogers (played by himself) has quit the rodeo and become a rancher. His old friend Sam Bennett (Harry Shannon) is also no longer performing in rodeos, and Roy hires him as a ranch hand. Sam's daughter, Sue (Sheila Ryan), is living in the East and decides to visit her father. Sue believes that Sam owns the ranch, and big problems lie ahead when Roy helps Sam try to fool her by pretending that Sam does own the ranch. Songs include "Moonlight and Roses," "Mexicali Rose," and Rainbow Over the Range."
