Shy Jonathan (Doug McKeon) is a nerd in the 1950s who has dreamed of a romance with sexy Marilyn (Kelly Preston). Jonathan gets help from his extroverted, motorcyclist friend Gene (Chris Nash) who has his own girlfriend Bunny (Catherine Mary Stewart). Gene teaches Jonathan how to attract women, and Jonathan steps up his pursuit of Marilyn.
