To achieve their goal, they use gunpowder, and by story's end, Marco Polo and Princess Kukachen are on their way to Persia.

  Charles Laughton won the Oscar for his portrayal of Henry VIII in this historical film. Henry's third wife is his mistress Jane Seymour (Wendy Barrie) who dies in childbirth. Henry then agrees to an arranged marriage to Anne of Cleves (Elsa Lanchester) that ends when she pushes him into the arms of Lady Catherine Howard (Binnie Barnes). He marries Catherine, but her affair with Henry's friend Thomas Culpepper (Robert Donat) ends in her beheading. Finally, Henry marries widowed Catherine Parr (Everley Gregg) who is determined to take care of him. An Academy Award nomination was received for Best Picture.

  The Chinese bootleg has the opening & end credits chopped off. I guess they didn't want "RKO Studios" to be shown. Worth owning, but buy from a seller on Ebay rather than a high priced seller on Amazon.

  I remember this movie from long ago. I do not believe Abbott is a ghost in this one. Lou is a ghost along with a female ghost that were hanged as traitors and condemned to stay on the parcel of land until they proved they were innocent. Very funny movie I have always loved watching it over and over.

  Based on a popular stage play, this farce tells of the tale of a young man (Dennis O'Keefe) who attempts to retrieve a "naughty" gift he had innocently given a young woman (Gail Patrick) without his wife (Marjorie Reynolds) or his friend (Lee Bowman) knowing of it. Quite funny, and remade with the same director and star the following year as "Getting Gertie's Garter."
