  There is plenty of gore and special effects in this remake of the 1958 film. The gooey mess falls from the sky and devours all in its path in gruesome ways. Will teenagers Brian (Kevin Dillon) and Meg (Shawnee Smith) save the day? It will be hard when the townsfolk won't believe them, and the authority figures cannot be trusted. How about that restaurant cook who is sucked, head first, down the drain when he tries to plunge the Blob?

So, the Leprechaun kidnaps Bridget, and Cody in hot pursuit steals one of the Leprechaun's gold coins. This really upsets the Leprechaun, and the killings begin.

The movie is filled with hilarious moments as the previously content, married Teddy tries to find ways for a tryst. Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You" won an Oscar for Best Song.
