  While on her honeymoon in Mississippi, Caroline (Bibi Besch) is raped by a hairy-legged creature. Eighteen years later, her son Michael (Paul Clemens) by that incident is acting strange, so he is taken back to Mississippi in hopes that his behavior has something to do with the rape. Well, wouldn't you know it–he turns into an insect-like creature and starts dismembering and eating people.

Julia Roberts received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

It turns out that Nikki is not interested in catching the bus. Instead, she wants to track down the real killer and uses Louden as her less-than-willing assistant. Chaos ensues.
