Diane gets a report that Chico has been killed, but the report is wrong, and Chico, now blind, finds his way back to Diane. This film won Best Actress (Gaynor), Director, and Screenplay Academy Award honors. This was the first year for the Oscars and covered a two-year period (1927-28).
