He leaves his wife Annie Mae (Margaret Avery) and father Rufus (also Prior) behind and travels to Los Angeles where he falls in love with Vanetta (Lonette McKee) but returns home after being rehired by his former employers. Now he learns that Annie Mae is pregnant, and the father is Reverend Lennox Thomas (also Prior). Leroy's solution to his problems: seduce Reverend Thomas' wife.
