A Bucket of Blood   1959     3 stars    N/R, 66 min.
Genre: Comedy / Horror / Thriller
Director: Roger Corman
Cast: Dick Miller, Barboura Morris, Anthony Carbone, Julian Burton, Ed Nelson, John Brinkley, Bert Convy, John Herman Shaner, Bruno VeSota, Judy Bamber, Myrtle Vail, Lynn Storey

Nerdy Walter Paisley (Dick Miller, in the first of several "Walter Paisley" films) is a busboy in a Greenwich Village cafe frequented by artistic-type people. He admires their lifestyle, but at the same time he is jealous of their talents. One day while trying to save a cat, he accidentally kills it, and, in order to hide the killing, he covers it with plaster, thus making it a sculpture that goes on display at the cafe. The patrons consider it a work of art, and proclaim Walter to be a great artist. They want more, and the untalented Walter must resort to what was successful with the first sculpture–and people start disappearing. A real Roger Corman hoot–cheap but lots of fun.
