The next day, they sink into their worlds of booze, gambling, and sex, and, once again, their money is stolen. Bill sells his possessions to gamble on a big game in Reno. He wins but then leaves the casino and heads home after realizing that gambling may not be the way he wants to live his life, while Charlie remains behind believing that gambling IS his life.

They forbid Cinderella to go to the ball where the Prince (Stuart Damon) will choose his bride. The Fairy Godmother (Celeste Holm) appears and magically transforms Cinderella into the belle of the ball. Cinderella meets the Prince and captures his heart. But, the Fairy Godmother's magic will last only until midnight, and Cinderella must flee the ball. Will the Prince pursue her?
