A rich, invalid pianist dies and leaves everything to his nurse, much to the dismay of his relatives and personal secretary, Hilary (Peter Lorre). Hilary cuts off one of the pianist's hands, but finds that was a mistake as the hand gets a life of its own–and is after Hilary.
