This Disney TV remake of the hit Broadway play stars Alicia Morton as the orphan Annie and Kathy Bates as Miss Hannigan, the cruel head of the orphanage. Annie has been living in the orphanage her whole life until Grace Farrell (Audra McDonald) takes Annie for a two-week stay with billionaire Daddy Warbucks (Victor Garber) who is charmed with Annie and wants to adopt her. But, Annie wants to find her real parents, and Warbucks agrees to help by offering a cash reward. Now, Miss Hannigan comes up with a scheme in which her brother Rooster (Alan Cumming) and his girlfriend Lily (Kristin Chenoweth) will pose as the long-lost parents so that Miss Hannigan can collect the money. The scheme fails, and all ends happily.
