Orphan Oliver Twist (Richard Charles) is booted from his juvenile workhouse and joins other orphan boys surviving by pickpocketing on the city streets. Their leader, the evil Fagin (George C. Along the way, Oliver gets help from Mr. Brownlow (Michael Hordern) and, later, barmaid Nancy (Cherie Lunghi), but it will take a lucky inheritance to save Oliver.
