Hammond invites dinosaur experts Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), along with scientist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and Hammond's grandchildren Lex and Joe (Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello) to preview the park prior to its opening. While they are touring the park, the security system is broken into, and the man-eating dinosaurs break free turning their delightful day at the park into just the opposite. Plenty of action and thrills with Oscar-winning visual and sound effects.

Jessica gets help from veterinarian Orel Benton (Abe Vigoda) and her older brother Steve (John Duda), and all goes well–until Jessica tries to contact Santa. This leads to problems for her father John (Sam Elliott) who decides to sell Prancer. But, by Christmas, all ends happily.
