The Blues are back as Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) again tries to aid Mother Superior Mary Stigmata (Kathleen Freeman) in her quest for funds for a children's hospital. Elwood heads for New Orleans hoping to reunite the band and enter the New Orleans' Battle of the Bands. While the plot involves Elwood leading cops and Russian mobsters on a merry chase, this film works as a tribute to the blues.
