Maggie Colby (Lana Turner) and Mike Dandridge (Jeff Chandler) are strong-willed pilots who start up an air-ferry service with Maggie as the chief pilot. Mike quickly becomes bored with his new responsibilities at home and becomes involved in an entertaining life away from Maggie. Now, Maggie has had enough of waiting for Mike to come home and takes a solo plane trip. When Maggie's plane is lost in fog, Mike comes to the rescue and relays messages to her. His actions save Maggie's life and their marriage as well.
