Jess (Audie Murphy) is a wanted man after being framed for a murder. When his brother is killed, he heads to Rimrock, which is controlled by Luke (Broderick Crawford). Luke is the one who framed Jess, and he is sure that Luke also was responsible for his brother's death. But Jess needs the evidence. In the process, love blooms for Jess when he meets Kit (Diana Lorys).
