  Tim, Chris, and Rand (Matthew Lillard, Michael Vartan, and Randall Batinkoff) are college roommates and have enjoyed partying so much that their low grades may hamper acceptance into graduate school. So, when Tim and Chris find out that a grade of 4.0 will be given if a roommate commits suicide, Tim convinces Chris that they should kill Rand so they can get the grades they need. After Rand disappears but his body is not found, and Rand's girlfriend commits suicide in despair, it becomes clear that there is more going on than meets the eye.

  As three drug dealers Bulldog, Stack, and Ball (Samuel Monroe Jr., Joe Torry, and De'aundre Bonds) sit in a mortuary waiting to receive their drugs, mortician Mr. Simms (Clarence Williams III) tells them stories of terror about the deceased bodies lying in open caskets in his mortuary. Each of the four episodes is concerned with the master theme of death and, involve a Black cop (Tom Wright) who seeks revenge from beyond the grave, young Walter (Brandon Hammond) being tormented by a monster, racist Duke Metger (Corbin Bernsen) running for governor and failing to listen to the supernatural being in his home, and criminal Crazy K (Lamont Bentley) undergoing a scary behavioral modification program.
