He is determined to replace his nephew Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) with his own baby son as the rightful heir. The Pevensie kids come to Caspian's aid with help from Trumpkin the Red Dwarf (Peter Dinklage), a valiant mouse Reepicheep (Eddie Izzard), and other colorful creatures. First, a "mano a mano" contest between Miraz and Peter takes place, but that doesn't solve the problems.
