Nicholas is attracted to Lily, but when his ex-girlfriend Anne (Anna Karina) comes to the isle to visit him, they begin their affair anew. After Anne flies home, Nicholas learns that she has committed suicide. Now, Nicholas is showing signs of bizarre behavior. He confronts Conchis, blames him for Anne's death, and the mystery deepens.
