Chorus girl Rusty Parker (Rita Hayworth) wins a beauty contest that leads to an offer for a Broadway production. Now she must choose between fame and the man she loves: nightclub owner Danny (Gene Kelly). Hayworth's and Kelly's dancing make this film a delight. Jerome Kern-Ira Gershwin songs include "Long Ago and Far Away." As usual, Eve Arden's quick wit is a highlight.
