Political thriller - Nazi & communist cold war intriguenana4u 08/09/2009
Col Van Dyke (Peck) is stuck with a spy thriller at the communist border in Berlin. Following Nazi Germany; cold war politics have divided Berlin into pieces of a police puzzle. The characters have mysterious past histories; and the plot twists maintain a suspenceful film noir. The story keeps pace with the viewer's interest until the disclosure of loyalties is finally finished. Good yarn well worth the trip.

Divided into five conversations concerning Anna's (Pernilla August) affair with a young theology student, Tomas Egerman (Thomas Hanzon), this story is really about loneliness and how Anna's attempt at sexual happiness leads to nothing more than a tragic entrapment in lies.
