Charlotte Bronte's gothic novel is again brought to the screen in this offering about orphanage-raised Jane (Susannah York) who takes a job as governess at the English manor of the tyrannical Edward Rochester (George C. But, when Jane learns that Rochester is already married, it will take Jane's courage and love to rise above their world, which is crashing around them.
