To relieve the tension, David plays an unmarked videocassette that he finds in the motel room. There is a problem with the cassette: the video appears to have been filmed in David and Amy's motel room and involves frightened guests being tortured and murdered. David and Amy realize that they, too, are being filmed by hidden cameras and that, if they cannot find a means of escape, they are doomed to be the next victims.
