They know that they cannot live without Friday and place Friday in an abandoned hotel that they turn into a shelter for stray animals. This works for awhile–until their caseworker Bernie (Don Cheadle) finds another home for Andi and Bruce. Their trespassing is discovered, and the dogs are impounded.
