Other Oscars included Best Director and Supporting Actor (Hugh Griffith).

This great film won the Academy Award for Best Picture, David Lean won for Best Director, and Alec Guinness won for Best Actor. Is he correct, and can he prove it in order to clear Capt. Gort's name?

Holmes sends his assistant, Dr. Watson (Andre Morell) to the Baskerville estate on the Devonshire moors to look for clues. Meanwhile, Holmes hides in the moors gathering information, and, almost too late, Watson and Holmes save Sir Henry from the fate that his father suffered.

Diplomat Ann McCall (Martha Hyer) is also on board and strikes up a friendship with Fernydel. When the counterfeiters close in, Ann arranges for Robert to be sent to an insane asylum to provide safety from them, and, later, Fernydel works to have him released. Funny chases take place–including the one when Robert is rescued from the asylum by a helicopter–in this combination of a French and American comedy.

Unfortunately, the government doesn't heed his evaluation and horror follows. Originally a made-for-UK TV miniseries and remade in 1967.
