In this made-for-TV remake of the 1962 classic, Vanessa Redgrave takes on the role of invalid, ex-film star Blanche, and Lynn Redgrave plays her jealous, torturing, younger sister, Jane. Blanche, on the other hand, as an adult rose to success as a film star but was severely injured in an accident and has been paralyzed ever since. Jane tortures and plots to murder Blanche while planning a comeback in the show business world with help from musician Billy Cork (John Glover) who is destined–because of Jane–to meet a tragic end.
