Meanwhile, one of Bella's friends, Paul (Robert Modica), meets the widowed Emily (Louise Lasser), and another friend, Seymour (Victor Argo), is entranced by young Wanda (Valerie Geffner).

She meets a cab driver, David (Amos Kollek), who comes to her aid and takes her to a kibbutz where Nancy adopts a new lifestyle. When Jack tracks her down, Nancy must decide whether or not she should give up her life in the kibbutz–and the affections of David–or return home with Jack.
