Gilmartin (Philip Carey), but when Gilmartin is attracted to Katie instead, Jane finally realizes that it is Wild Bill who she has loved all along. Terrific music; songs include "Deadwood Stage," "Secret Love," and "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better." "Secret Love" won the Oscar for Best Song.

Originally intended as the pilot for a TV series, the series did not come to be.
