The legendary Candyman (Tony Todd) with the hooked hand is back after being summoned by a distant relative, Caroline (Donna D'Errico), who allows a Los Angeles art gallery to display Robitaille's, a.k.a. Candyman, art work. At the gallery opening, Caroline says the word "Candyman" into the mirror and summons the Candyman who then decides that he wants her soul. Now, Candyman goes on a gory killing spree and frames Caroline as the killer.

As he sets off on a quest to Mars to piece together his identity, enemy agents, including their leader Richter (Michael Ironside), try to kill him before he regains more of his memory. The film won a Special Achievement Oscar for the Visual Effects.
