This film–definitely for kids under the age of 10–examines the premise that there is a high-tech war being fought between cats and dogs. Unknown to humans, for years war has been raging between the animals for their places in the animal kingdom. Now, Prof. Brody (Jeff Goldblum) is working on a vaccine to erase human allergies to dogs, and a Persian cat, Mr. Tinkles (voice of Sean Hayes), is determined to stop him because Mr. Tinkles seeks world domination and realizes that the vaccine will give the edge to dogs. Mrs. Brody (Elizabeth Perkins) has found a Beagle puppy, Lou (voice of Tobey Maguire), for their son, Scott (Alexander Pollock). Now Lou is caught in the middle of the "dog vs. cat" war when Mr. Tinkles plots to kidnap the Brody family, reverse the formula, and make all humans allergic to dogs. Excellent special effects include animated faces on real animals.
