Mad Dr. Igor Markoff (J. Carrol Naish) conducts his acromegaly (a disease that enlarges the body's bones) experiments on humans, turning them into grotesque-looking creatures. He falls in love with pianist Anthony Lawrence's (Ralph Morgan) daughter, Patricia (Wanda McKay), but she will have nothing to do with him. So, of course, he injects Anthony with his acromegaly-inducing drug thinking that, when he cures Anthony, Patricia will love him, AND he may be able to extort money from the victim. But, alas, life isn't that simple.
